- Marie Dressler (November 9, – J ) was a Canadian-American stage and screen actress and Depression-era film star. She won the Academy Award for Best Actress in for Min and Bill. Dressler continued to work in the theater during the s, and toured the United States during World War I, selling Liberty Bonds and entertaining the American Expeditionary Forces pins.
